Sleek Small Pack for 1 day City Trips
This pack is well made, very low profile to the back when you wear it, it rides high above the shoulders and does not drag/weigh you down. The pack is waterproof and fits a few items like a small 13/14 in laptop, water bottle, snacks, and miscellaneous smaller objects that are more light in weight. I would not load this with anything too heavy as the material is fairly thin, but very mobile and easy to wear around the city for a 1 day expedition with your essentials.

Excellent pack much too small to fit me.
This appears designed for a much smaller person. It's a nice light weight roll top made with good materials. There is only one zippered pocket inside otherwise wide open. This isn't my favorite design. I realize some people like this giant (well 15L is very tiny) but this one open hole to back - to me those people are silly and mistaken. Oh well It's made well and many rate highly so if this is what you like - it's good. I'm basing my opinion on what I like and having tons of camelbak, kelty (including usa kelty) deuter, thule, just a ton of backpacks. I would not get this exped again.

Lightweight bag
This bag is very lightweight and packs down small. I was impressed to see YKK zippers and the addition of a hip belt (something uncommon for bags of this size. The bag has held up to rain, however, I would be weary of fully submerging it underwater for more than a quick splash. I recommend this bag for your water-related activities.

very high quality
This is a high quality small day pack. Ive been wanting a super-high quality day pack for a while, but not really looking for it. I need it to be small-ish, very lightweight, waterprooof, comfortable on my shoulders, and good quality durable material. Sort of a string bag on steroids for bicycling and day hikes. Well this fits the bill nicely! It has all the features I want, and I am very pleasantly surprised at the quality - this is NOT a cheapo, it is well built. Even the little details are thought out and well executed, like: - the hip strap is removable - ripstop - tie loops I am impressed enough with the quality of this pack that I will be shopping the exped store to get a look at their other products.

Lightweight, Waterproof, Backpack
I love this lightweight and waterproof backpack. It curls at the top, similar to those waterproof bags that you bring aboard boats or jetskis. Pointing a water hose onto this backpack resulted in no water being leaked inside. This backpack is meant to be taken on hiking or a quick day trip to an amusement park or similar. It has two compartments, a larger main compartment and a smaller zippered pocket that is meant for a phone or wallet. There are two side holders, for water bottles or similar. The back is padded and is breathable to prevent you from sweating. On the front, there's a small carabiner for you to attach some personalizations on the outside. It is a bit expensive for the product, so I'm hoping it's as durable as it appears to be.

Solid Backpack!
This will be great when hiking - it is so lightweight! Excited to use it. Seems very well made and will be durable!

Terrific lightweight pack
Very nice lightweight pack. Roll top, 15 L, so think water bottle (outside stretchy pocket) vest, rain jacket, and lunch. Well, throw in a battery pack for your phone too if you are taking a lot of pics. This will work for day hikes or bike rides. Since it is a roll top made out of water-resistant fabric, this should do a great job keeping the contents inside dry. Straps are not the most comfortable I have ever used, but they are light weight and highly adjustable. Chest strap and waist strap are nice additions and will keep the pack secure while blasting a downhill or hiking up. One other nice thing, the lining on the inside has a hanging hook, so you can hang the bag and dry it out. Thinks like these are why Exped is a great brand. The little details matter.

Well made backpack, holds 15L, which I can never translate into an actual amount.
I like this no-nonsense waterproof backpack, which holds 15L, but I can't translate that into things I'd put into a backpack. I use this when I have all I can carry easily but still need to carry more. The main drawback to this backpack is that it's too small for my laptop, which I believe measures 16." I can always take my iPad instead, but I prefer the laptop. There's also not much padding, only on the side that goes on your back, in this backpack, so even if it fit I wouldn't put my laptop inside this. This isn't meant for packing all your gear to go camping for a week. This is more for a day of hiking or whatever you like to do outdoors or to go out of town for a day. This does come in a 25L size if you want a larger backpack. I wish people who make backpacks, storage bins, etc., would tell us how much stuff we can put inside them, not how much they hold in liters. That doesn't help me at all. This is a nice, lightweight backpack that's well made and is waterproof, but it won't hold a 16" laptop. It only has room for one day's worth of supplies for anything, as far as I can imagine, but it's well made, and the tops of each side roll down to make putting items inside the backpack easy and make it easy to close it. The backpack is made of sturdy, durable fabric, has excellent zippers, and is comfortable. I would recommend this to someone who wants a small backpack, but if you want a backpack you can use for longer than day trips I'd look into ordering the larger version of this. This is very well made, and I expect it to last a good long time.

An excellent choice for traveling light.
Exped's Typhoon 15 Travel Backpack is very nicely made from high quality materials. While the bag is light and slim it still manages to feel robust and sturdy. The bag is a nice mix of superlight and thin, but also has some structure with true straps and a padded back panel. The bag has a small zippered pouch inside the main compartment with a loop for keys. There are also two pouches on the outside that can accommodate water bottles. For such a thin bag there is enough space to fit a small jacket, keys, a phone, a flashlight, etc. The roll top opening is large and makes it easy to find items inside. The Exped is very comfortable to wear. The straps are comfortable as is the padded back panel. I can wear it for hours without issue. All in all... a great bag.

Excellent dry bag!
Excellent dry bag! So far I've used this on a multi-day whitewater rafting trip, at the beach, vertical face rock climbing at Looking Glass, hiking 52 miles on the AT, SUP trips, and a day floating on the river at a spring. The 15L volume is big enough to fit my phone, GoPro, change of cloths, light hammock, small first aid kit, and a few snacks I like to keep dry. It is very lightweight and packs down small as an extra bag for day trips while on long backpacking outings. I hike the Appalachian Trail frequently and I use this bag to keep my sleeping gear dry inside my large 58L pack. Theres an internal pocket inside the main pouch for outfitting small items. I was surprised to see YKK zippers on this bag (excellent quality). The addition of a hip belt which is not common for 15L bags was also suprising. The dry bag has held up to rain, major splashes from whitewater rapids, and a few submerged tests at the beach. I recommend this bag for your water-related activities.
