Der Venom von Black Diamond ist ein leichter technischer Pickel mit austauschbarer Haue. Es gibt ihn sowohl mit Hammer als auch mit Schaufel. Er eignet sich somit für technische und auch mal schwerer Hochtouren mit Eiskletter- und Mixedpassagen.

Der Venom von Black Diamond verfügt über eine austauschbare, aggressive Stahlhaue und einen Aluminiumschaft mit B-Norm. Der verschiebbare Fingerhaken ermöglicht zusätzliche Griffpositionen, mehr Wucht beim Hauen und mehr halt beim Ziehen.

Es gibt den Venom in einer Hammer und in einer Schaufel Variante was den Einsatz bei schweren, technischen und steilen Alpintouren erlaubt.

Best axe ever
Live this axe. Ridges on axe really help self arrest easily and quickly. The sharpness on tip allows you to pin in the snow with almost no struggle at all. Love the adjustable factor.

Quality and light axe with a great adze.
Great axe for mountaineering and winter adventures. This is not intended for ice climbing. A more curved axe with hand protection is needed for that. The grip is comfortable and the adjustable flicklock is easy to move. Sometimes the lock comes undone easily so I recommend using electrical tape over it. The adze is sharp enough to chop ice and the pick can be swapped out if desired. I use/like the mountain tech pick to match my Venom hammer axe. The set of both are my go to axes when on routes not requiring ropes. The picks will rust if not dried properly.

Solid axe great company
This ice axe came out the box exactly how I expected it to. Totally fulfills my expectation when buying black diamond products, and I love that I have now integrated to a modular model. Seller had this to me in 2 days as promised even with covid 19 happening which helps because I have my first trip of the season next couple weeks.

別売りのアイスクライミング用ピックに交換できるのですが、以前のモデルのベノムは用途がベーシックだったので気になってましたが、本体のどこにもT(テクニカル)マークが無いBマークもありません。説明書にはピック次第みたいなことが書いてあります。
